I hope y'all caught onto my little tune above! I like to pretend that I'm a real country girl living in Nashville, another one of my many dreams. This is one of the looks that I'd say really is a true glimpse of Kylie Rae and my personal style ☺ I am a sucker for an ultra feminine top, skinnies and a pair of pink heels. And, not to mention cobalt blue and pink are both definitely two of my go to colors for spring/summer. If I could wear this or a dress everyday then I most certainly would, hopefully one day my career will allow me to! I purchased this peplum top last fall from Francesca's and fell in love with it the second I put it on. Its one of those pieces I wish I could wear everyday because its that fabulous.

Divine Spaces

I was inspired by my own post yesterday. I shared that one of my most favorites spaces includes exposed brick because there is something about it that just screams romanticism and the utmost of charm. I would kill to live in a loft someday with exposed brick. It would definitely be a dream come true. There are many different ways you can style and design around brick, as you can see from the images above I particularly love the look and feel of chandeliers paired with the brick {clearly, since three of the four images include such}. It has so much character and immediately has an elegance that no other natural stone could ever offer, not to mention the wide array of red tones the different types of brick can bring to the space. Is exposed brick a feature you would like to have in a space of your own? 

Also, I am trying to come up with posts specific to design in order to incorporate my passion for both design and fashion here at Shimmer Me Pretty. Though, I have to admit since I am not necessarily working within the field yet I am finding it difficult to come up with something to share with you all. I do have a few ideas up my sleeve but haven't been able to implement them quite yet. Would a weekly feature such as 'Divine Spaces' be something you all would enjoy coming back for? Please let me know because as much as its an inspiration and love of mine, I'd love to know that it can be the same for you and something you would enjoy viewing too!

Four Favorites

Happy Wednesday, its Four Favorites day! Seriously love this link-up because I have way too much fun creating the post and sharing some of my favs with you all ☺

1. Exposed Brick via Pinterest - My most favorite architectural detail in a space is exposed brick. It's one of my greatest dreams to live in a loft that has a wall of exposed brick, its just too pretty! 

2. 'Live a little, Love a lot' - Definitely words of wisdom by the one and only Kenny Chesney.  

3. Marlenee Ankle Strap Heels by Steve Madden - These beauties are right on trend! I absolutely love the black and white print of these heels. I would love to add these babies to my closet [hint, hint]. 

4. Neutrogena Revitalizing Lip Balm SPF 20 - I just recently purchased this lip balm and its the best, hands down. I thought I was a fan of baby lips but it does not even compare to this stuff. It is smooth, moisturizing and comes in six beautiful tints. Definitely a must try!
